Reporting a bug
Bugs get fixed faster with a bit of detail. If you can, include:
- Which tool (its name or the page URL).
- Your browser and operating system.
- The exact steps that trigger the problem.
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
A screenshot helps too, but isn't required — plain text is fine.
Suggesting a tool or feature
DeveloTools grows from requests. If there's a converter, formatter, generator or calculator you keep reaching for elsewhere, say what it should do and why — that's usually enough to scope it. Small improvements to an existing tool (a missing option, an awkward default) are just as welcome as whole new tool ideas.

Do you store or see what I type into a tool?
No. Every tool runs entirely in your browser — nothing you enter is uploaded or logged anywhere, including when you email in a bug report; only what you choose to paste into the email itself is seen.
How long does it take to get a reply?
DeveloTools is built and maintained by a small team, so replies aren't instant, but every email gets read and most get a reply within a few days.
